In the midst of the fast-paced life that we live today, it gets almost impossible to think about life and the small challenges that it throws at us. And this is why Tarun Jha, Head of Marketing, Škoda Auto India, dedicates his me-time to introspect about life, apart from catching up on his hobby of reading. Jha also loves spending time with his daughters and walking in the by-lanes of Bandra in Mumbai on weekends.  Read on to know more about him:

On a typical weekend you will find me...

Teaching my little girls and reading. I have a huge collection of books that are ageing wonderfully and smell great.

My idea of relaxing is...

Cycling or walking in the by-lanes of my little village called Bandra, clearing up my head and finding solutions to life’s little challenges-- something that I am not able to do during the week.

One vice I cannot do without...

Whisky and whiskey (both Scotch and Irish).

Staycation/adventure...

I love to explore city life and urban cultures. I spend a lot of time at one place and absorb the local flavours.

I confess, I am...

An extremely boring travel partner as I do not approach life as an adventure and eschew all forms of extreme experiences. I like it easy and slow.

I spend me-time on...

Reading and thinking

The last show I binge watched...

Sherlock Holmes – the TV series produced by Granada in the 1980s. I believe Jeremy Brett is the definitive Sherlock Holmes.

To save my life, I can make a mean ...

Sabudana khichadi. It took me many failed attempts to perfect the dish.

A skill/hobby I want to learn this year...

Playing piano… if my daughter has the time to teach me.

My next vacation/adventure will be ...

Singapore…with my family. The little girls are excited as they have never travelled eastwards. They have a lot to look forward to. I have family and friends to catch up with.
