This is perhaps for the first time that Star Plus and Zee TV have jointly advertised to highlight that their top Hindi serials have outperformed IPLs in terms of viewership and that their viewership is intact. MPG Mumbai has been assigned the media mandate for She Comfort, one of the leading brands in sanitary napkins. The account size is estimated at upwards of Rs 15 crore. Mudra Connext is the incumbent agency. The creative duties are being handled by The Parish.

Jaideep Singh has been promoted at Viacom18 and will now be the National Sales Head at MTV. In his new role, Singh will be responsible for MTV’s sales revenues across all markets, in addition to the pan-regional sales for the brand. He will continue reporting to Aditya Swamy, Senior Vice-President - Marketing and Sales, MTV India.

Global market research firm Synovate has appointed Scott Miller as its North America CEO. Miller will be responsible for managing Synovate’s US and Canada business units. A key agenda for the global digital fraternity is how to monetise audiences, and generate revenues from digital platforms. The subject was discussed at length at the Digital Think Tank series at MipTV 2010. Some of the points that came through were that digital companies should work on an open source model that more people could partner with. Also, the mixed economy comprising free and paid content ‘freemium’ needed more push.

The channel is purportedly aimed at highlighting problems of Telangana and its culture. The news channel, which went on air on March 26, is promoted by Telugana Broadcasting Pvt Ltd.
