The CNN-IBN Indian of the Year Awards 2009 were given away at a glittering ceremony in the Capital on December 21. Speaking at the Awards ceremony, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh remarked, “The country is proud of its vibrant media. But we should introspect whether the media does justice in portraying the diversity and complexity of the issues of the day.”

Religare Enterprises Ltd (REL) is on the lookout for a media agency to handle its media buying and planning business. Currently, Mumbai-based NAC Advertising is handling the account. It is learnt that four leading agencies – MediaCom, Mindshare, Madison and Maxus – are involved in the pitch.
