Alabot, a company working on artificial intelligence and natural language processing algorithms, has tied up with mobility solutions firm mobile-worx to launch Intelligent SMS search in India. The service will be powered by a ‘bot’, a self-directed intelligent agent that understands natural human language and interacts with users using non-syntax based data inputs.
PepsiCo India has now gone national with its juice brand ‘Tropicana Twister’. The beverage major has come up with an extensive promotion campaign for the brand nationally. The Company Law Board (CLB) has held the transfer of unsubscribed shares of news agency UNI to Media West, a firm promoted by Subhash Chandra’s Essel Group, as ‘null and void’ on the grounds that the deal lacked transparency. The Principal bench of CLB declared this on January 21, 2008.
Bhaskar Group has taken the first concrete steps in their plans to tap the market with an IPO. The Group has come out with a prospectus for the IPO, which indicates an issue size of 18,800,000 equity shares all cash for Rs 10 each. The issue will constitute 10.02 per cent of the fully-diluted post issue paid-up capital of the company.
