Sapphire Foods Q2 revenue down 4% at Rs 742.4 crore
Loss of the company widens to Rs 127.9 crore in the quarter

Sapphire Foods India, which operates KFC and Pizza Hut in India, has reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 127.9 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, compared with a loss of Rs 17.4 crore in the previous quarter and Rs 62.4 cr in the year-ago period.
Revenue from operations for the quarter stood at Rs 742.4 crore, down 4.4% quarter-on-quarter from Rs 776.8 crore, but up 6.7% year-on-year from Rs 695.7 crore. Other income rose to Rs 9.2 crore from Rs 6.8 crore in Q1 FY26 and Rs 8.5 crore in Q2 FY25.
Total income for the quarter came in at Rs 751.7 crore, lower by 4.1% sequentially against Rs 783.6 crore but 6.7% higher than Rs 704.2 crore a year earlier.
Total expenses were Rs 768.3 cr, easing 2.2% QoQ from Rs 785.5 cr but rising 9.9% YoY from Rs 698.8 cr. Cost of materials consumed was Rs 239.4 cr versus Rs 253.3 cr in the previous quarter and Rs 217.1 cr in the same quarter last year.
Loss before exceptional items and tax stood at Rs 16.6 cr compared with a loss of Rs 1.8 cr in the previous quarter and a profit of Rs 5.3 cr in Q2 FY25.
For the half year ended September 30, 2025, revenue from operations rose 7.4% to Rs 1,519.3 cr from Rs 1,413.9 cr in the year-ago period. Total income for H1 FY26 was Rs 1,535.3 cr, up 7.5% from Rs 1,427.7 cr last year.
Total expenses for the half year stood at Rs 1,553.7 cr, up 10.1% from Rs 1,410.6 cr in the corresponding period of FY25. The company reported a loss before tax of Rs 184.2 cr against a profit of Rs 57.1 cr in H1 FY25.
Net loss for the half year widened to Rs 145.3 cr compared with a profit of Rs 19.5 cr in the same period last year.
