Mohit Batta, Group Vice President and Chief of Operations (Enterprise Services) Reliance Jio has resigned from the company. He has been associated with the company for more than 5 years. He will be joining Standard Chartered of India to lead digital products for retail banking; a highly placed source confirmed the development to exchange4media.

Batta joined Reliance Jio in 2014 and was amongst the key leaders who led Jio's launch in the Indian market. In his role, he was leading enterprise services for creating a world-class digital interface and managing Jio enterprise business operations.

Batta is a well-known telecom leader who has been a catalyst in growth trajectory for Reliance Jio and Airtel. He has over two decades of experience in Telecom and FMCG industry and is known for launching Unilever’s global product Pureit, back in 2006.

He led the high-value acquisition and merger of Yu Essar Telecom (Kenya), Warid Telecom (Uganda and Congo Brazaville) with Airtel, and launch of greenfield Rwanda business for Airtel Africa. He has also been instrumental in creating an official white channel for Apple iPhones in India through a strategic Airtel-Apple alliance in 2008. Batta is an experienced hand in the transformation of businesses, managing large business units, digital capabilities, marketing and customer experience in Asia, Africa, and India.
