WPP Media India has reported $6.6 billion in billings, according to COMvergence’s 2024 Billings and Market Share Report.

Among individual agencies, WPP’s Mindshare secured $2.6 billion in billings, followed by sibling agencies Wavemaker at $1.8 billion and EssenceMediacom at $1.7 billion.

The report reaffirms the growing dominance of digital media in India’s advertising ecosystem, with digital platforms now accounting for more than half of agency billings. This reflects a broader industry trend of advertisers increasingly prioritizing digital over traditional media in their marketing strategies.

The report says that for the Indian market COMvergence has studied a total media spend of $16 billion across 20 agency networks and two independents in 2024.

Of this, $6.8 billion was attributed to digital, with digital contributing to an average 52% of total billings across agencies—highlighting the continued shift of advertising dollars to digital platforms, the report added.
