Performance in India has been strong at 12%: WPP
In the Asia Pacific region, India and Singapore have showed continued improvement, WPP has said in its quarterly financial report
WPP has reported a 1.6% jump in revenue to £7.616 billion. The advertising major has said its performance has been strong in faster growing economies like India where it was 12%.
In the Asia Pacific region, India and Singapore have showed continued improvement offset by mainland China, WPP has said.
As part of the financial announcement, WPP said it has appointed Jacqui Canney as Global Chief People Officer to help ensure that an open, inclusive culture.
Mark Read, Chief Executive Officer, WPP, said: “WPP’s performance in the second quarter was slightly ahead of our internal expectations but in line with our full-year guidance and three-year strategic targets. Clients are responding well to our new offer, as evidenced by recent wins and expanded assignments, including from eBay, Instagram and L’Oréal.
