Lindsay Pattison made chief transformation officer of WPP; Sorrell terms this "horizontality"
Her responsibility is to get WPP agencies to work more closely together for its top 50 clients
In addition to her role as chief transformation officer of Group M, Lindsay Pattison has now been named chief transformation officer of entire WPP group with responsibility for getting its agencies to work more closely together for its top 50 clients. Wanting to simplify the workings of WPP, CEO Sir Martin Sorrell is terming this strategy "horizontality". WPP owns more than 160 companies, according to the annual report.
According to reports, Sorrell said in a memo to staff: "Horizontality will increasingly be reflected in the structure of the group itself, as well as our client teams, country managers and organic collaboration between our companies. Lindsay will play a key role in that project as we continue down the path of greater integration."
