The US-based SC Johnson’s takeover of Karamchand Appliances (KAPL) has come as a bounty for FCB Ulka and Lodestar Media. The global relationship of SC Johnson with FCB has resulted in FCB Ulka and Lodestar Media being responsible for the creative and media responsibilities of the business in India. The account is pegged in the region of Rs 22-25 crore.
To put things into perspective, SC Johnson had recently bought out the Delhi-based KAPL, which has brands like mosquito repellent All Out. SC Johnson is a longstanding, prestigious client of FCB globally.
The account will be handled out of FCB Ulka, Delhi, and headed by Sanjeev Bharghav, COO of the agency. At the time of filing the report, neither the agency nor the clients were available for comment.
