Cannes Lions 2013: India draws a blank in Cyber Lions
Indian agencies will not be running for any metals in the Cyber Lions category once again as none of the 30 entries from India have made it to the shortlist
The Cyber Lions category at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is disappointing for India this year as well. Out of the 196 shortlisted entries, no entry from India has made it to the shortlists.
Meawhile, the number of entries submitted by Indian agencies has gone up to 30 entries this year as compared to 27 entries last year.
Bob Greenberg, Founder, Chairman, CEO, R/GA is the Jury President for Cyber Lions, while Carlton D'Silva, Chief Creative Officer, Hungama Digital Services is on the Jury from India. Launched in 1998, Cyber Lions honours excellence in online digital communications and gives key players in this industry an annual meeting point.
This year, there have been 2,627 entries from 57 countries have been submitted, an increase of 7 per cent as compared to last year.
The Cyber Lions trophies will be presented during the Cyber, Design, Press and Radio Lions Awards Ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday, June 19.
