BIG FM has announced its tie-up with weather forecasting organisation Limtex, Reliance Web World and Monginis stores as part of its plans to provide listeners with weather updates for the upcoming monsoon season. The station has also announced some programming and on-ground initiatives for its listeners in Mumbai. BIG FM has tied up with the BEST and Mumbai Suburban Traffic for regular updates on bus services and conditions of roads in each locality.

Speaking at the announcement of this service, Manav Dhanda, National Programming Head and Western Regional Head, BIG FM, said, “Our association with Limtex, BEST, Mumbai Suburban Traffic, Reliance Web World and Monginis is one of the initiatives to provide our listeners with weather updates.”

BIG FM’s RJs will keep Mumbaikars posted with weather forecasts and storm warnings. The station has also tied up with all branches of Reliance Web World and over 150 outlets of Monginis across Mumbai to help stranded Mumbaikars with support and relief.

The Reliance Web World outlets will also provide live updates to stranded Mumbaikars from railway stations and high traffic locations near by, along with a free wireless PCO for people to make calls. BIG FM has also identified and set up ‘Monsoon Wardens’, which comprises citizens of Mumbai living in buildings located in and overlooking areas that are prone to water logging across the city. They will provide updates to the RJs, who will pass on the latest position details to listeners.
