Sonal Choithani become the new Group Chief Brand & Communications Officer at Vedanta Group. The news was shared by Choithani through her LinkedIn profile. “6 years, 3 roles, 1 Group. And the love for metals continues. Excited to step into my new role... This journey continues to be an absolute privilege, starting from Vedanta Limited - Aluminium Business to our iconic Hindustan Zinc and now stepping into the group-wide portfolio,” she wrote in her announcement.
In her new role, Choithani brings a multidisciplinary perspective to Vedanta’s ambitious mission for #Vedanta2.0, focusing on critical minerals, energy transition metals, oil & gas, and emerging technologies.
Her 25 years of professional journey includes working with Fortune 50 companies and leading, high-impact sectors including banking, finance, consumer goods, electronics, manufacturing, renewable energy, power, heavy engineering, and natural resources. She has held senior leadership roles at Hindustan Zinc, Fidelity International, United Technologies, and ICICI Bank, and others.
