Vineet Gautam, who announced his decision to quit as the Chief Executive Officer of Bestseller India in November last year, shared an emotional note on LinkedIn reflecting back on the journey, on his last day with the company.
“Standing in a room with 600 colleagues, hearing messages from across the UK, Belgium, Denmark, and beyond, it was a moment I will never forget. To have Thomas, our global CFO, fly down from Denmark to honor my 15 years with this incredible organization was humbling beyond measure. As I watched the farewell video, I couldn’t help but reflect on the journey we’ve shared. The challenges we overcame, the milestones we celebrated, and most importantly, the relationships we built along the way. Those connections have been the foundation of everything I’ve accomplished here,” he wrote.
“You all have inspired me every single day to give my best, to push boundaries, and to lead with purpose. And while farewells mark the closing of one chapter, I truly believe that the best is yet to come, not just for me but for all of us. The future is always built on the foundations we lay together, and this team has laid a foundation like no other.
To everyone who took the time to be there, to send a message, or to celebrate this chapter with me: Thank you. Thank you for believing in me, challenging me, and making this a journey I will always cherish. I am forever grateful to Anders for this opportunity and for believing in the potential of this team and organization.
As I step into my next chapter, I carry with me the lessons, the memories, and the friendships that have shaped me. Here’s to the power of people, the beauty of teamwork, and the courage to move forward. Here’s to the memorable journey at Bestseller India,” the post read.
