Senior journalist Panini Anand returns to India Today group

Senior journalist Panini Anand has joined the India Today group again, according to reliable sources. This is Panini Anand's second innings with the India Today group. It is not yet known what his role will be in this innings, but if sources are to be believed, he will work on special projects.

Panini Anand had been a part of India Today group earlier also. During his first tenure, he was working as an executive editor in 'Aaj Tak' (digital). Panini Anand was associated with this group for about seven years. He had joined here as deputy editor (digital). Later, the organization gave him the gift of promotion and promoted him to the post of executive editor.

After this, in March 2023, he moved on to 'TV9 Bharatvarsh' (digital) as a group editor. Some time ago he resigned from 'TV9 Bharatvarsh'. Before the 'India Today' group, Panini was associated with 'Catch News' as a senior assistant editor. He came here from Rajya Sabha TV. He was the head of the new media department in Rajya Sabha TV.

Panini Anand, who is adept at writing on all subjects, is originally from Raebareli. Panini Anand, who has been actively involved in journalism for nearly two decades, started his career with a prestigious institution like the BBC. While studying journalism at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) in Delhi, he used to write for many newspapers including Navbharat Times, Hindustan and Jansatta.

Before joining BBC, he worked as editor of two tabloids from 2002-2004 and from 2004-2006 he joined BBC as a contributor and after that from 2006-2010 he worked as correspondent/producer in BBC Hindi.

After working here for about 6 years, he joined Sahara Media in 2010 with the then BBC head Sanjeev Srivastava. Here he was the editorial head of Sahara's web division. After working here for a year, he left here in 2011. In 2011, he got CSDS fellowship. After that, in 2012, he continued his innings as Principal Correspondent with Outlook (English) magazine. By the way, Panini Anand has also been associated with documentary making. Along with this, he also makes his presence felt from time to time as a poet, blogger and theater artist.
