All functions in the Times Group’s TV news broadcasting business other than Finance, Legal and Distribution, will report directly to Rohit Gopakumar

The Times Group announces that Rohit Gopakumar (Chief Executive Officer - Entertainment and Digital Business, The Times Group) has been given interim charge of Times Network’s news broadcasting business, effective August 13, 2025. He takes charge following the exit of Varun Kohli, Chief Operating Officer, News Broadcasting business.
Hence, all functions in the Times Group’s TV news broadcasting business other than Finance, Legal and Distribution, will report directly to Rohit Gopakumar. Finance, Legal and Distribution functions for the News Broadcasting business will continue to be handled by Jagdish Mulchandani -- who works with MD Office for the Finance and Legal functions and reports to Rohit Gopakumar for the Distribution function (both News and Entertainment businesses).
Rohit Gopakumar – who has been with The Times Group for over 12 years – will, in addition to the new responsibility, continue as CEO - Zoom Entertainment Network Ltd, Director - Worldwide Media and Times Strategic Solutions Ltd, and head of Times Network’s Digital business. He will continue to report to Times Group Managing Director Vineet Jain and work closely with N Subramanian, Executive Director and Group CEO, Non-Publishing Business, The Times Group.
