Rajat Verma nominated as next India CEO of DBS Bank

The India unit of DBS Bank has nominated Rajat Verma, its Head of Institutional Banking, to be the bank's new Chief Executive Officer, as per media reports.
Rajat Verma is set to replace Surojit Shome, who plans to retire after being with DBS Bank India since April 2015.
DBS has been operating in India for about three decades.
As per reports, DBS Bank confirmed Shome's retirement plans on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Rajat Verma was appointed Managing Director and Head Of Institutional Banking for India in June 2023.
Before joining DBS, Rajat Verma was with HSBC for over 26 years where he held several leadership roles.
