Hamad Ali Al-Khater named Group CEO of Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways Group has named Hamad Ali Al-Khater as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, marking a leadership change at the airline. He replaces Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer in the role.
 
Before this appointment, Al-Khater was the Chief Operating Officer at Hamad International Airport, where he managed day-to-day airport operations, focused on safety and efficiency, guided long-term planning, supported infrastructure development, and worked to improve the passenger experience.
 
Commenting on the appointment, His Excellency Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Chairman of the Qatar Airways Group Board, thanked Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer for his valuable contributions. He said the Board is confident that Al-Khater will carry forward the airline’s strong global legacy and further strengthen its position. He also noted that this leadership transition underlines Qatar Airways’ commitment to delivering reliable, innovative, and world-class services to travellers across the globe.
