Earlier in his career, Sanyal worked with Times Internet as an Editor between 2015 and 2017. With over two decades of experience in media and journalism, he has been associated with leading organisations such as Zee Media Corporation Ltd, NDTV, and The Indian Express.
He began his journey in 2000 as a reporter with ANI in New Delhi. In 2005, he joined CNN-IBN as a Producer.
Over the years, he has taken on several key editorial roles. These include Senior Output Editor at NDTV, News Editor at Inx News, and later Senior News Editor and Editor at NDTV Convergence, where he spent around five years.
In 2017, Sanyal became Group Editor at Zee Media Corporation Ltd, a position he held until 2019. He then moved to HT Digital Streams as Chief Content Officer before taking up his current role.
