Percept/H adds muscle to creative team in Delhi

Percept/H Delhi has been on a hiring spree of late. The agency has spruced up its creative muscle with the addition of six senior people in copy and five talented and young art people, who will bring a fresh look and feel to every communication from the agency.

Informing exchange4media about the new hires, Amitava Mitra, COO (North), Percept/H, said, “Our strengthened creative team is second to none in terms of talent, brand experience, quality of creative ability, ideation, strategic understanding, maturity and the sheer creative brilliance of their work. It has taken us months to put together this team of creative gems.”

Damodaran Krishnan has joined as Creative Director (Copy). With over 12 years’ experience in advertising, Krishnan has worked with agencies like Rediffusion Y&R, Capital Advertising, Draftfcb Ulka, Triton Communications and Montage Advertising, and has created communication for brands like LG Electronics, Maruti Suzuki – Corporate & Swift, Indiatimes.com, Citi Financial, Hero Honda, Zee Business and Zee News, Samsung Electronics, Panasonic Mobiles, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India, The Home Store and Liberty Shoes, to name a few.

Gaurav De has also joined as Creative Director (Copy). He has previously worked with agencies like McCann Erickson, Rediffusion Y&R, Percept and Leo Burnett. He has penned ads for brands like General Motors, Microsoft, Canon, Airtel, Rajasthan Tourism, Hero Honda and National Geographic Channel in a career spanning more than 12 years. Also a standup comedian, De has won a few creative awards, got recognition at the One Show and was one of finalists at the 2007 Clio Awards.

Jayant ‘Ronny’ Bedi has rejoined Percept/H after a gap of a few months as Associate Creative Director (Copy). He has over 12 years’ experience in advertising, with a flair for humour and films. Besides Percept, he has worked with IB&W Communications, Dmas Advertising and Response. Bedi has worked on clients like DLF, Hero Honda, BSNL, Lakshmi Foods, UIDAI Aadhaar, Congress, Paras Milk, Springwel, Fena, Beetel, Bharat Nirman, Oriental Insurance, Ayur Herbals, Leh Berry (LFL), Kesh Nikhar Soap, Khadi Line (KVIC), Su-kam Inverters, Zee Education, Skoda Automobiles, Seimens and JK White Cement, among others. He also has a number of Delhi Ad Club awards to his credit.

Manish Sharma has joined as Associate Creative Director (Copy). He has over 10 years’ experience and had worked with Contract, Dentsu and Bates prior to joining Percept/H. Along with his writing skills, Sharma has digital and online communication experience. He has worked on brands like HP, ITC, Nirula’s, Max Bupa, Radico, Honda cars & two-wheelers, Canon, Jaypee Greens, Luminous, GPI, NIIT, Dabur, and so on.

Leading them all is Rajiv Agrawal, who joined as Executive Creative Director in September 2011. With over 16 years in advertising, Agrawal has worked with agencies like Ogilvy, Draftfcb Ulka, JWT and Lowe Lintas prior to joining Percept/H. He spent first nine years of his career in the servicing side. His strength is films and radio. In the course of his career, Agrawal has handled clients like Reckitt Benckiser, Usha International, HCL Beanstalk, LML and Hero Honda during his servicing days, and GSK (Horlicks, Boost), Hero Honda, Monster.com, GE Money, SBI Cards, ESPN, Pepsi portfolio (Pepsi, Slice, Mirinda, Mountain Dew), Lays, and Iodex, to name a few. As the nodal creative head of the Thompson Social division at JWT, he had created various campaigns for UNICEF (Polio, etc.), Ministry of Health, World Bank, Nike Foundation, NACO, and so on. In addition, he also penned the 2009 election campaign for the Congress party. Both the Red Ribbon Express and the Congress campaigns won Silvers at the Effies. As a Creative Director at Lintas, he handled the Havells portfolio, part of Maruti and Dabur, Greenply, Nestle (Polo, Eclairs), Somany Tiles, Shine.com and Nirulas, among others.

Rajesh Ramachandran, the Editor-in-chief of The Tribune, has quit, according to media reports. May 13 will be his last day with the Chandigarh-based publication.

Ramachandran took charge as The Tribune’s Editor-in-chief in May 2018. Before joining The Tribune, he was the Editor-in-chief of Outlook.

Ramachandran has over three decades of experience as a journalist in dailies, magazines and even television news channels. Known for his political analysis and commentary, Ramachandran has done big breaking stories such as the coffin scam and the BALCO valuation scandal. He has had stints with some of the biggest news organisations such as The Times of India, The Economic Times, Hindustan Times, The Hindu, The India Today Group and NDTV.
