News anchor Malika Malhotra, currently associated with Zee News, is reportedly set to join NDTV in the coming days, according to highly placed sources. If the transition goes as planned, Malhotra is expected to assume her new role and appear on NDTV screens as early as next week. However, there has been no official confirmation from either party yet.

Malhotra has been a prominent face on Zee News for the past two and a half years, having moved from Aaj Tak, where she had already established herself as a credible morning show anchor. At Zee News, she anchors the 1 PM news bulletin, hosts evening segments, and takes charge of the prime-time 10:30 PM slot, showcasing her versatility across time bands.

Known for her distinctive and composed style, Malhotra has carved a niche for herself in Indian broadcast journalism. Beyond the studio, she has also earned recognition for her on-ground reporting, often stepping away from the conventional news desk to cover significant national developments.

A Delhi native, Malhotra began her journalism journey as a trainee anchor with P7 News. Her career gained momentum with stints at Zee Hindustan and ABP News, where she was lauded for both her anchoring and field reportage.

An alumna of Cardiff University in the United Kingdom, Malhotra holds a master’s degree in International Journalism. Before joining Zee News, she was a key face on Aaj Tak’s morning band and served as Associate Senior Producer, as well as a Bullet Reporter.

If confirmed, her move to NDTV would mark another milestone in an already distinguished career, further solidifying her position as one of India’s most respected news anchors.
