Karan Deep Singh has joined Bloomberg Originals as Producer/Editor in Mumbai. He moves from The New York Times, where he spent the last three years working across journalism, filmmaking and long-form storytelling.
In his new role, Singh will continue to work on documentaries and news coverage from India and South Asia, while taking on a wider remit covering Asia.
Singh is a multi-award-winning journalist, filmmaker, editor and photographer. Before joining The New York Times in 2019, Singh spent five years at The Wall Street Journal as a Reporter and Video Journalist, reporting from five countries across Asia.
He began his journalism career at Hindustan Times, where he worked before moving into international news and documentary storytelling.
