Sahil Joshi and Nagarjun Dwarakanath were elevated in a key round of internal promotions at the India Today Group.

Joshi, who has been with the group for over 23 years, will now also head the West Bureau. Alongside his existing roles, he will lead editorial teams across Gujarat, Goa, Daman and Diu, and act as a key coordinator for the group's TV operations in these regions. Known for building a strong editorial presence in Maharashtra, Joshi played a pivotal role in launching the successful digital channel ‘Mumbai Tak’. He’s also a familiar face to viewers as the anchor on Aaj Tak, consistently maintaining high TRP ratings.

Meanwhile, Dwarakanath has been appointed head of the South Bureau, taking charge of editorial teams across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, and Puducherry. Having previously led coverage in Karnataka, he now steps up to manage the entire southern region.

In an internal email, the company congratulated both journalists, saying: "We’re proud to see internal talent grow into larger roles. This not only strengthens our editorial values but also shows the strength of the newsroom we’ve built over the years. Hard work and talent will always be recognised at India Today."
