Dr Reddy’s Labs appoints Sriram Gopalakrishnan as Director - Branding & Communications
Gopalakrishnan will be responsible for building Dr Reddy’s brand in Biosimilars, which is a strategic area of focus for the company, as the category is expected to grow significantly in the coming years

Sriram Gopalakrishnan has been appointed as Director - Branding & Communications, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories. He will be responsible for building Dr Reddy’s brand in Biosimilars, which is a strategic area of focus for the company, as the category is expected to grow significantly in the coming years.
Prior to this, he was with the Indian School of Business (ISB) as Director - Marketing and Communication. At ISB, he was responsible for building greater global visibility and understanding of the ISB brand, and increasing the impact of marketing activities supporting all Programmes and Research Centres.
Commenting on his new role, Gopalakrishnan said, “Managing a young and vibrant brand like ISB, which is a high involvement category and whose ‘customers’ are mostly online, throws open tremendous possibilities for digital engagement. The experience has been a very fulfilling one. Now at Dr Reddy’s, I will be working in an entirely different industry that is complex, dynamic and above all, unfamiliar. The prospect is both daunting and exciting.”
Gopalakrishnan has been with the ISB since October 2004 and over the years, has been closely involved in shaping it into a world-class institution. He joined ISB as Assistant Director – Development and then rose to become Director - Marketing and Communication. Prior to ISB, he held various positions in advertising agencies such as RK Swamy BBDO, Lowe Worldwide and Ogilvy & Mather.
