Chun Yin Mak has announced his departure from dentsu China. Mak held the role of President, Customer Experience Management Practice / Merkle Asia Pacific at the company.

He announced his departure on LinkedIn. "13 months ago, I joined dentsu with a clear mandate to oversee the transition of the China business into a competitive, future-ready model, establishing a trajectory of future growth and success. With that now achieved, I am proud and happy to hand over leadership of this successfully-transformed business to a long-term industry, dentsu and local veteran, for whom I have the utmost respect. I reflect upon this last one year and it has been one of the most interesting and high-growth periods throughout my professional career. It was intense, exciting, humbling, sometimes difficult, but always positive, fulfilling and ultimately very rewarding", his LinkedIn post read.

In his role as the President, he led the Customer Experience Transformation / Merkle business across the Asia Pacific region to clients in transforming their businesses by leveraging capabilities in data, analytics, AI, experience, CRM, loyalty, commerce and technology integration.

Chun Yin Mak was with the company for over a year. He joined dentsu as Chief Executive Officer, dentsu China in August 2023 and led the business, P&L and a team of more than 2500 colleagues across Mainland China and Hong Kong for dentsu.

Previously, Chun Yin Mak was with IBM for over 16 years and before that he was with Accenture.

Chun is a senior executive with more than 25 years of experience who has held numerous leadership and management positions in top multi-national consulting and media / advertising / creative / communications organisations across the North America, the Asia Pacific and Greater China regions.
