Carlos Tavares has stepped down as the CEO of Stellantis, the maker of Chrysler, Jeep, Fiat and Peugeot.
As per media reports, Tavares has moved on following differences with the board over a drop in the automaker's sales.
Senior independent director Henris de Castries has said in a statement that Taveris and the board had differing opinions.
John Elkann has been named the chair of an Interim Executive Committee, the company has said.
