  • Richard Morris, Chief Executive for the UK and EMEA at IPG Mediabrands, will exit Omnicom Media as part of the leadership integration following Omnicom's acquisition of Interpublic Group (IPG).
  • The merger is leading to significant changes at the senior leadership level within the combined network, including the anticipated departure of Eileen Kiernan, CEO of IPG Mediabrands, next year.
  • Morris was responsible for strategy across IPG Mediabrands' agencies and integrated media services in the EMEA region, with his exit reflecting efforts to streamline operations within the expanded Omnicom Media structure.
  • No replacement for Morris has been announced, and the merger continues to prompt leadership changes across both creative and media divisions.
Richard Morris, who currently serves as Chief Executive for the UK and EMEA at IPG Mediabrands, is set to exit Omnicom Media as the newly formed Omnicom–IPG organisation moves ahead with leadership integration following Omnicom’s acquisition of Interpublic Group (IPG), according to a UK media report.

This development comes as the global advertising group continues to merge IPG’s businesses into Omnicom’s wider media and marketing structure. The transition has already led to several changes at the senior leadership level across the combined network.

Recently, e4m reported that Eileen Kiernan, CEO of IPG Mediabrands, is expected to step down next year as IPG Mediabrands is absorbed into Omnicom Media. This was revealed through an internal communication cited by Adweek.

Morris, who was responsible for driving strategy across IPG Mediabrands’ agencies including UM, Initiative, and Mediahub, and for leading integrated media services across the EMEA region, will leave as part of the post-acquisition reorganisation. His departure reflects the ongoing effort to simplify structures and align capabilities within the expanded Omnicom Media setup, which has now become one of the largest media networks in the UK and Europe.

No replacement has been named for Morris so far. The Omnicom–IPG merger, completed towards the end of 2025, continues to bring changes to leadership roles and operating models across both creative and media divisions.

Earlier the same day, e4m also reported that Shailja Verghese, Chief Content Officer at Omnicom Media Group India, has stepped down, adding to the series of leadership changes linked to Omnicom’s acquisition of IPG.
