Abe Thomas is set to return to Music Broadcast Limited (Radio City), sources told e4m. According to the sources, Abe is likely to take over as the Chief Executive Officer of Music Broadcast Limited (Radio City), following the exit of Ashit Kukian.
Thomas brings nearly three decades of experience in broadcast media and a proven track record of leadership across multiple platforms, making him well-suited to lead Radio City through its next growth phase.
Thomas has been CEO of Reliance Broadcast Network (Big FM) since October 2018, where he has led strategic expansion and operational excellence for nearly seven years. Before this, he served as CEO of Radio City India from November 2015 to September 2018, steering the network through significant market growth and audience engagement initiatives. His entrepreneurial streak includes co-founding One Network Entertainment Pvt Ltd in December 2012, which he led until November 2015, focusing on content creation and distribution across audio-visual formats.
Earlier, Thomas was Head – Content and Broadcast at Astro (2009–2011) in Mumbai, where he managed programming and broadcast operations, and COO at Red FM (2005–2009), overseeing operations and strategy for the radio network. Across these roles, he has consistently combined strategic vision with operational execution, driving growth, innovation, and strong audience engagement.
Recognized for his deep understanding of the Indian radio landscape, Thomas is known for his ability to scale media businesses, develop talent, and navigate complex market dynamics.
