Pankaj Rai, Business Head of WION and Zee Business at Zee Media Corporation Limited, has resigned from his position. Zee Media has officially confirmed his departure, stating that Rai will be relieved of his duties effective February 5, 2025.
Rai joined Zee Media in March 2024 and played a crucial role in shaping the business strategies for WION and Zee Business, contributing to their market positioning and growth. His leadership brought operational efficiencies and strategic developments to both brands, strengthening their presence in India’s competitive news and business television landscape.
Prior to his tenure at Zee Media, Rai served as Branch Head at The Qyou Network and held key leadership positions at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., where he was the Zonal Head for Zee Cinema in the North and East regions. He was also instrumental in the launch of major Hindi movie channels, including '&pictures' and 'Zee Bollywood'.
