The Ministry of Communications has entrusted iTV Network’s Executive Editor and Head of India News (MP/CG), Manoj Manu, with a key responsibility. He has been appointed as a member of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). His tenure will be for three years.

The committee, chaired by the Minister of Communications, comprises Members of Parliament, experts and senior officials. It was constituted on August 29, 2025, as part of the reconstitution process following the formation of the 18th Lok Sabha.

The Hindi Advisory Committee plays an important role in promoting the use of Hindi in government work and in advising on the implementation of official language policies. Its mandate, under the Constitution and the Official Language Act, is to encourage greater adoption of Hindi, particularly within the DoT and its affiliated organizations.

According to the Gazette notification issued by the government, Manoj Manu’s name features among the non-official members nominated to the panel.

Speaking to s4m, Manoj Manu expressed happiness on his appointment and said he is committed to contributing to the promotion and wider usage of Hindi. The government believes the move will further strengthen the role of Hindi in official communication and public administration.
