Industry gurus ready to discuss news industry threadbare at NewsNext 2010 in Delhi on Sept 1
Stage is set for the third annual edition of NewsNext, which will be held in Delhi on September 1, 2010. The theme this year revolves around ‘An industry in change - Has the shift begun?’ As in the previous editions, this year, too, sees a line-up of several insightful sessions such as ‘Reality of news content Vs its perception’, ‘News Television – Up close and Personal’, ‘News Television’s role for Brands’, and ‘Has the regional promise delivered?’, among others.

Stage is set for the third annual edition of NewsNext, which will be held in Delhi on September 1, 2010. The theme this year revolves around ‘An industry in change - Has the shift begun?’ As in the previous editions, this year, too, will see industry gurus discuss and deliberate on various topics related to the Indian news broadcasting industry.
The day will begin with a conversation with Rajat Sharma, Chairman & Editor- in- Chief, India TV. This will be followed by a session titled ‘Reality of news content Vs its perception’. Shazi Zaman, Editor, MCCS and Barkha Dutt, Group Editor, NDTV, along with others will be speaking in this session.
This will be followed by a special address by LV Krishnan, CEO, TAM Media Research, and Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief, Times Now.
The session on ‘News television’s role for brands’ will see marketers like Deepti Dang, Marketing Head, HP, besides Jasmine Sohrabji, CEO, Omnicom Media Group and Punitha Arumugam, Group CEO, Madison Media, among the panel members.
The next session will seek to find out ‘Has the regional promise delivered?’. This will be followed by a session on ‘News Television: Where is the revenue model’ with Rahul Kanwal, Editor-in-Chief, Headlines Today as the session chairperson.
The day’s proceedings with culminate with the CEO Panel, the topic for which is ‘An evolved News Television Industry… is India there yet?’. The speakers for this session include G Krishnan, CEO, TV Today Group, Ashok Venkatramani, CEO, MCCS, and Shashi Sinha, CEO, Lodestar UM.
