Disney India is planning to reduce its headcount, confirm industry sources.

Sameer Ganpathy also exited his role as head of Interactive last month.

Insiders confirmed to exchange4media that Disney India is significantly pruning down its work force from 750 to 350; sources also indicate that significant downsizing is likely to happen from UTV.

The company is clearly redirecting its focus from Bollywood production business to its consumer products business.
