Disney Channel broke Nick’s tradition of leading kids genre @BARC Week 35

Disney Channel ousted Nick from top spot in the kid’s genre by garnering 97.8 million impressions according to BARC data for Week 35 (August 25-September 1)

Nick, which has been the kid’s genre lead channel for a long span, was dethroned by Disney Channel according to BARC data for Week 35. The latter garnered 97.8 million impressions while the former slipped to second spot albeit with a close margin fetching 96.9 million impressions. 

 

However, Disney Channel’s ‘Doraemon The Movie: Nobita Ki Nayi Duniya’ took the third spot with 0.8 million impressions while Nick’s ‘Motu Patlu 36 Ghantey Race Against Time’ ranked second by fetching 0.9 million impressions.  

 

Speaking of kids’ channels, Hungama maintained its third spot with improved 83.9 million impressions compared to previous week’s 77.4 million impressions. Its three movies ‘Shinchan Movie Kanta Laga,’ ‘Shin Chan action Kamen Vs Higure Rakshas’ and ‘Shinchan Movie The Spy’ took first, third and fourth spot with 11.56 mn, 7.7mn, 6.6 mn impressions respectively. 

 

Cartoon Network moved up to the fourth rank with 61.92 million weekly impressions as against previous week’s 59.8 million impressions. 

 

Pogo TV slipped to fifth spot with 56.3 million impressions compared to previous week’s 60.5 million impressions.
