Chinta Shyamsundar resigns as Executive Director and CEO of Asianet News Network
He completes six years with the network and will serve a three month notice period during which he will hand over responsibilities to his successor
Chinta Shyamsundar, Executive Director and CEO, Asianet News Network resigned from the company recently. He confirmed this to exchange4media, saying that he had put in his papers a week back and is currently serving his notice period. He will usher in the hand over process once the company has found a successor. Shyamsundar will probably be serving a three-month notice period.
“I have successfully completed six years (at Asianet News Network) and created a huge value for media assets by manoeuvring all the challenges and have improved focus and credibility of the brand along with ensuring sustained growth. I am very convinced that Asianet News Network will continue to be an increasingly strong force in the media space and will bring a huge value in coming days. It is time to move on and explore new avenues,” he said. He further mentioned that he had some thoughts on his next direction and would reveal his next career move in the coming days.
Shyamsundar carries with him over 30 years of experience heading various companies. Prior to becoming Executive Director and CEO of Asianet News Network he was the CFO and COO of Jupiter Media and Entertainment for a period of one year. Prior to this, he held the post of Business Head of Suvarna News. He also had a two and half year stint at the Bangalore International Airport as Head Controlling. Shyamsundar served as Controller – South Asia Region at Asia Brown Boveri for over 14 years.
