Business media gears up for action-packed Budget 2019

From newsroom debates to on-field activations and a strong content line-up, business media is leaving no stone unturned to grab eyeballs

As Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to announce her maiden budget in Parliament today,  television channels have upped the ante for grabbing maximum eyeballs. While news channels are hoping to take the numero uno spot, business media is going all out with a strong content line-up for the day.

From newsroom debates to on field activations, channels are leaving no stone unturned in their coverage. In a first, CNBC-TV18 and CNBC-Awaaz, joined hands with the iconic Mumbai Dabbawalas to help raise awareness about the budget.

The comprehensive and well-integrated activity on July 4 witnessed Dabbawalas across Mumbai come out in full force spreading CNBC-TV18’s message with a tag, “Count your calories and your profits.” on the tiffins that they delivered.

In addition to the activity, CNBC-TV18’s efforts to raise awareness among people will be by presenting an integrated newsroom with comprehensive coverage.

According to numbers provided by the Network, during the interim budget this year CNBC-AWAAZ claimed to score record-breaking numbers for the entire budget week gaining a market share of 59.3%, which was 1.45 times more compared to its nearest competitor.
