Yashovardhan Gupta, the Director of Dainik Jagran, has passed away. Gupta who had over 50 years of experience in journalism, took over as the Editor of the publication in 1987 after working with his father, Rajendra Gupta, the Managing Editor. He has been a prominent voice for the development of Bundelkhand.
He breathed his last at 1:30 pm on Wednesday.
His demise has caused a wave of mourning in the entire journalism world.
A condolence meeting was organised in the Dainik Jagran office under the chairmanship of senior journalist Rajendra Adhwaryu, in which everyone paid tribute to him. Senior journalists KK Bhatt, Dharmesh Tripathi, Narendra Arajaria, Sanjay Rawat, Sanju Sirvaiya and a large number of scribes were present.
