The Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Industries has announced the revival of its textile brand ‘Vimal’ with a new logo. Vimal will now offer new ready-to-wear apparels for men. The brand’s new logo displays a new spirit of openness and breaks free from the oblong. Its minimalistic letters and styling convey a new open spirit of fashion, making it more appealing to the youth. Moreover, the new logo is also in tune with Vimal’s core strategy of entering the premium segment.
The overall brand colour continues to be red, given Vimal’s heritage and the colour of celebration and warmth for Indians. The core quality of ‘fashion for everyone’ will now be highlighted in a contemporary and trendy manner. The brand’s new apparel for men would be available under three sub-brands – Vimal Red, Vimal White and Vimal Black, for the different sections of male audiences.
With these changes, Vimal will also offer a whole new retailing experience through its new exclusive outlets. These exclusive stores will have new décor, design and layout to suit the new Vimal identity.
Mukesh Ambani’s wife Nita, who is in-charge of Vimal’s re-launch, said, “We are all very proud of this moment of reviving the Vimal brand, which I am sure will once regain the market leadership it enjoyed and top-of-the-mind recall.”
