Pitch Summit: Marketing mantras for wooing youth

The countdown to the Pitch Youth Marketing Summit and Awards has begun. The Summit and Awards will be held at the Metropolitan Hotel in New Delhi on October 12, 2012.
The Youth Marketing Summit will bring together on the same platform some of the most experienced minds that have been behind the scenes for initiatives and strategies most resonant among the youth today.
His bundle of intellect, aptitude and expertise has only multiplied his engagement with the youth, be it on Twitter, on his own site or at international summits. “Youth has a major role to play in nation building,” says Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament. This only makes him apt to be delivering the keynote address at the Pitch Youth Marketing Summit, highlighting the ‘Role of Digital and Social Media in Connecting with Young Media’. Engaging him in a much awaited Q&A will be Rahul Kanwal, Managing Editor of Headlines Today. Look out for the duo as they take stage on Friday afternoon at 1500 hours.
Samar Singh Shekhawat, Senior Vice President, UB Group, will follow, sharing essential gyaan on ‘The Art of Engaging Youth: The Dos, Don’ts and Don’t Bothers’.
Rina Gupta, Executive Director of TNS India, will also be unveiling and, thereafter, presenting key insights and highlights from the Pitch TNS Youth Report.
Amplifying experience in a half-hour session will be Satyaki Ghosh, Director, Consumer Products Division, L’Oreal. Ghosh will talk about ‘Reaching Youth by Segmenting and Targeting Smaller Niche in the Personal Care Category’.

They’re careful about the thought that goes behind the purchase, the quality, the brand because that smartphone and that laptop is a whole lot of power in their palms. Ajay Kaul, Executive Director, Global Brand Communications and Marketing Services at Lenovo, will throw light on ‘Screenagers: Making Gadgets a Way of Life’.
Using and abusing Social Media is a major topic of contention today, and Ashwin Mushran, actor and standup comedian, is someone whose presence on Twitter cannot be missed. In his session, Mushran will be sharing his thoughts and possibly also answer the often asked question of ‘Youth Marketing: Are Indian Marketers Using Social Media Effectively?’
Stringing the chord which connects instantly with the youth today, Terry Mardi, Chairman and Founder of Terry Mardi Group, along with Vijay Nair, CEO of Only Much Louder, will discuss ‘The Cool Quotient: Using Music to Resonate with Youth’.
Also, watch out for Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India, who will deliver the Valedictory Address on ‘The Next Destination: Driving Youth to Luxury’.
The Summit will also host two stimulating panel discussions, which will add value with bouts of information and opinions set to flow within the hall.
