Panasonic goes all glam
Panasonic has taken a leap into the beauty and glam segment with a range of new products as the company looks to tap the TG that aspires for a better lifestyle – youth in the 20-30 age group.
In a highly glamorous ‘beauty walk’ event, Panasonic launched its newest range of digicams, hand held camcorders and beauty products. The event also saw the unveiling of three new brand ambassadors – Jacqueline Fernandez, Koel Mullik and Kajal Aggarwal.
Speaking to exchange4media, Manish Sharma, Director, Marketing, Panasonic India, explained that the idea was to be present in the customer’s life 24 hours. The new range of products takes the fresh and youthful angle for Panasonic as a brand wants to tap in to the TG that aspires for a better lifestyle – which is mostly the youth in the 20-30 age group.
Sharma added that it was an angle not explored by their competitors thus far and added that the brand was investing in the digital space significantly as well.
Meanwhile, besides cinema, Panasonic sponsors the Delhi Daredevils IPL team as well as the Indian football team, thus having a finger on two of the biggest passions of India – Bollywood and sports.
Speaking on the occasion, Daizo Ito, President, Panasonic India, said, “Panasonic has rigorously researched consumer needs in order to deliver revolutionised meaningful innovations based on unique insights. Panasonic has launched the new cameras, beauty and health products in its endeavour to address Gen Next consumers’ need to style, look and feel their best.”
Sharma added here, “We have smartened up our entire range of personal care appliances. As Panasonic is actively poised to strengthen and widen its sales and distribution network in India, this event is a fantastic platform to showcase our new range of products for personal consumption.”
