Colgate-Palmolive India ad spends up 7% to Rs 180 crore

Colgate-Palmolive (India) has reported a 6% decline in net profit for the quarter ended March 2025.
The company posted a net profit of Rs 355 crore for the fourth quarter of FY25, down from Rs 379 crore in the same period a year ago. Revenue also saw a marginal decline, falling 1.92% to Rs 1,452 crore, compared with Rs 1,480.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Advertising and sales promotion expenses rose to Rs 180 crore, a 7.14% increase over Rs 168 crore in Q4 FY24. For the full fiscal year, ad spend reached Rs 822 crore, up from Rs 760 crore in FY24, reflecting the company's continued focus on brand visibility and consumer engagement.
Commenting on the results, Prabha Narasimhan, Managing Director and CEO of Colgate-Palmolive India, has said that the performance was impacted by “softening urban demand and intensified competition.”
