Brunico acquires Marketing and CARD from Rogers
Brunico is building on a complementary roster of publishing and event properties that serve the Canadian marketing and media community
Brunico Communications, a business-to-business publishing and events company, serving the Canadian marketing and media community and the global entertainment industry, announced that it has acquired certain assets relating to the marketing segment of the publication business of Rogers Media Inc., including Marketing, CARDonline (CARD) and National List of Advertisers (NLA). The Marketing brand (launched in 1908), includes a quarterly magazine, online daily news and annual conferences and events for the national advertising industry, such as the popular Media Innovation Awards and the Marketing Awards, while CARD and NLA are invaluable database tools designed to help media agencies and advertisers make informed media buying decisions.
Through the acquisition, Brunico is building on a complementary roster of publishing and event properties that serve the Canadian marketing and media community. Brunico publishes Strategy magazine and online news sites such as Strategy Daily, Media In Canada and Stimulant, and organises conferences and awards programs that have become respected sources of content and curation since Strategy’s launch in 1989. Some key initiatives include Creative Report Card, Strategy’s Agency of the Year, AToMiC Awards, Shopper Marketing Forum, and partner events such as the CASSIES.
“We have long enjoyed a friendly rivalry between Strategy and Marketing that has benefited the industry through a competitive focus on evolving content and programs to better serve the audience. Now we are excited to welcome the Marketing and CARD/NLA team to Brunico and look forward to combining forces and working with all our partners and industry stakeholders to collaborate on even greater offerings in the years to come,” said Russell Goldstein, President & CEO, Brunico.
