Publicis on an acquisition spree

The Rs 107 crore Publicis India, part of the True North Group worldwide is on an acquisition spree. Having successfully acquired the Rs 20 crore Delhi-based advertising agency—Maadhyam—the company is on look out for more agencies in Bangalore and Channai and in Delhi.

Among the Delhi agencies which have talked to Publicis include FS Advertising, Arms Communications and Capital. Acquisitions apart, Publicis is planning to launch its international healthcare division in India by March 2001. The Publicis Group has already acquired Nelson Health Communications in the US, making it the leader in the healthcare division, globally.
