Crucial I&B meeting on FM Radio cancelled

The meeting of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry on FM Radio was cancelled on Tuesday as I&B minister Sushma Swaraj was unable to attend the office. The meeting was scheduled to take up the issues involving the FM licencees setting up the temporary radio station for FM operations and second round of bidding for FM Radio.

No fresh date has been set for the meeting. Since the FM licencees cannot begin their transmission till the government takes a decision on the temporary radio stations, cancellation of Tuesday’s meeting is likely to cost them dear.
