Zee TV has roped in Shekhar Suman to host a bid-and-win weekend game show called ‘Nilaamghar’. The one-hour 9-10 p.m. show will air twice a week, from September 1.
Nilaamghar will have 500 contestants, arbitrarily chosen from the audience. The contestants can bid for the largest number of questions they would like to answer. If they fail, it will pass on to the next highest bidder. The questions will be more commonsensical than based on general knowledge.
Prizes including cars and microwaves will be given to the winners. Women will also be targeted and they will be given a whole range of kitchenware. Mr. Suman has quit from hosting Movers & Shakers for Sony Entertainment Television.
Zee will also telecast the Ashutosh Rana-hosted game show ‘Baazi Kiski’, which was shot early this year as a replacement for the much-hyped ‘Sawaal Dus Crore Ka’. Zee TV’s new lineup will start airing from the third week of August.
