Yahoo! India launches new search marketing platform for advertisers and agencies

Yahoo! India has launched a new search marketing platform that is expected to enable advertisers to do more with their campaigns and gain a higher return on their investments by targeting relevant customers. This new search marketing platform comes close on the heels of the launch of Yahoo! India’s Glue Pages Beta, which helps enable users in India to derive maximum value from their search efforts.

Speaking on the new search marketing platform, Prashant Mehta, Vice-President and Head, Advertiser and Partner Group, Emerging Markets, Yahoo Inc, said, “Yahoo’s new technologies and features encourage more participation in the growing area of search advertising to make us a ‘must buy’ in advertisers market mix. We are very excited to introduce this new platform, which makes it easier for marketers to understand the performance of their campaigns and experiment more frequently with the medium.”

Sandeep Deshpande, GM, Search Marketing and Small Business, Yahoo India, said, “The new and more powerful Yahoo search marketing platform will enable marketers to manage their campaigns with ease and potentially derive improved ROI. Additionally, it presents a significant opportunity for existing YSM advertisers across the world to target Indian consumers.”

The key features that would enable advertisers get more search marketing campaigns include, new ad ranking model, which rewards advertisers for focusing on things that improve search users’ experience, hence advertisers would be able to improve the placement of their ads.

Ad testing allows advertisers to easily test multiple versions of their advertisements to determine the message that works best for their customers. Enhanced conversion tracking will not only track campaigns that convert immediately but also those that contribute over time through deferred transactions.

Easy to use control panel helps advertisers zero in on what’s working and what’s not, giving them the insights of what they need to take action and get even better results.
