As the co-founder of a digital agency, The Glitch, Varun Duggirala confesses that he is addicted to his screens, be it his phone, iPad or even television. While his screen-addiction seems completely in-character for a digital marketer, he also confesses he is obsessive about gymming. Duggirala, father to a three month old, spends his weekends with his daughter playing class-clown or jester to keep her focus.

On a typical weekend you will find me…at home. My wife (Pooja) and I have a three-month old daughter and weekends are dedicated to spending time with her and our two dogs. We're also avid foodies (not in a let’s take an Instagram shot but rather, let’s eat everything kind of way) so we like to try out a new restaurants that have opened up (or hit some of the old favourites like Yauatcha or Bombay Canteen)

My idea of relaxing is… consuming/streaming some content. I tend to watch 3-4 different shows and maybe a movie at a time plus 2-3 books and a host of publications too. I like to call it the simultaneous binge plus it feels simpler to flip one on or off at a moment’s notice. I also consume a lot of music as well.

One vice I cannot do without… all forms of screens. I have a need to stare at one screen or  another, from my phone to the iPad or TV. It’s a vice I try my best to fight most times

I love a staycation/adventure… A mix is what I’ve always loved. Not as static as a staycation and not as tiring as an adventure. Just the right balance of sights, food, excitement and relaxation.

I confess, I am a… Gym buff (no pun on the buff). I love consuming content around it and also obsessively think about my next workout once I’m done with one.

I spend me-time on…Writing. A lot of late nights are spent writing all kinds of things from blogs to maybe a future fiction series. I just write because it opens up your mind to all kinds of possibilities.

The last show I binge watched… Stranger Things. It’s just the best blend of what a kid-adult series needs to be.

I can make a mean …French toast. Nice and sloppy with lots of sugar and butter.

A skill/hobby I want to learn this year… Anything that will entertain and make my daughter laugh is my focus. So class clown or jester seems to be the order of the day.

My next vacation/adventure will be … Sri Lanka or Greece. We haven’t made up our minds yet.
