Cannes Lions 2019: India bags 8 shortlists in 3 categories

Work of Dentsu Webchutney Mumbai, Grey India Mumbai, and J. Walter Thompson Mumbai selected in Entertainment, Entertainment for Music, Industry Craft

Indian agencies have secured eight shortlists in three categories. The entries were selected in the Entertainment Lions, Entertainment Lions for Music and Industry Crafts Lions categories.

 

Entertainment Lions

In the Entertainment Lions category, one entry from Dentsu Webchutney Mumbai has been shortlisted. The agency’s ‘Code Name: Uri’ campaign for Motion Picture’s film Uri-The Surgical Strike has been selected.

 

Entertainment Lions for Music

In the Entertainment Lions for Music category, one entry from Grey India Mumbai has been selected. The agency’s ‘The Barbershop Girls: Shaving Stereotypes’ campaign for P&G’s Gillete has been selected.


Industry Craft Lions

Six entries from India has been selected in the Industry Crafts Lions category. J. Walter Thompson Mumbai’s ‘Blink and they’re gone’ campaign for Jimmy nelson Foundation has been shortlisted in the ‘Brands and Communication Design’ subhead. Also, J.Walter Thompson’s ‘Blink Test’ and ‘Blink Off’ campaigns for Jimmy Nelson Foundation have got five shortlists.


Shortlists for Digital Craft Lions and Entertainment Lions for Sports have also been announced but no entry from Indian agencies have been selected in these categories.
