Cannes Lions 2018: Here's what's happening on Day 4
There will be shortlists in two categories, interesting sessions, and awards in five categories
After three high-powered days, Day 4 at the French Riveria is all set to take the excitement a notch higher.
For the awards, we're rooting for the six Indian campaigns that have been shortlisted in PR Lions. These are BBDO India’s Comparison and Pressure campaign for Pepsico India, Ogilvy Mumbai’s Savlon Haath Se Baat (Talk to Your Germs) for Savlon, McCann Worldgroup India’s Noon Assembly for Kwality Milk, Ogilvy India’s #WillDriveYouHome for ICICI Lombard, WATConsult’s #PowerlessQueen for Project Nanhi Kali and FCB India’s Sindoor Khela - No Conditions Apply.
Three campaigns from India have been shortlisted in the Product Design Lions category. We're cheering for Ogilvy Mumbai's shortlist for the Savlon Id Guard, TBWA\ India’s Blink to Speak for Asha Ek Hope foundation and Reliance Jio Infocomm’s Passport to Republic of Digital India.
In the newly introduced Social & Influencer Lions category, we hope FCB India’s Sindoor Khela - No Conditions Apply for Times of India and DDB Mudra’s Suede Gully for Puma Suede Classic Shoes, which have been shortlisted, make the cut.
In the Direct Lions category, Ogilvy India’s Vodafone Sakhi for Vodafone India has bagged a shortlist. FCB India’s Sindoor Khela has got two shortlists in this category. Mediacom India’s Gillette Bachelor’s of Shaving and Lodestar UM's Sindoor Khela No Conditions Apply have a shortlist each in the Media Lions category.
Awards in the Innovation category will also be announced. Good Vibes App, a Communication Tool For The Deaf/Blind for Sense International by Cheil Worldwide India is one of the 21 campaigns from around that world have been shortlisted for the Innovation Lions.
Of all the sessions that will take place on Day 4, we're super excited to see Robert Wong and Steve Vranakis from Google's Creative Lab give us a sneak peek around 'What Creativity Can Do'. Another session which we don't want to miss is 'Creating Exceptional Experiences for One Billion Users' which will have SY Lau, Tencent Senior Executive VP, discuss the uniqueness of China's digital experience and the strategic implications thereof.
Also, we're keeping our fingers crossed as the last batch of shortlists in the Sustainable Development Goals and Creative Effectiveness Lions are to make their way.
