Darshan Mehta, former MD and CEO at Reliance Brands, has passed away. The cause of his sudden demise is believed to be a heart attack while he was at Taj Hyderabad.
Mehta stepped down from his role at Reliance Brands in November 2024, transitioning into a mentorship role. He was a key figure in the transformation of Reliance Brands and among its first employees when the company was established in 2007.
Prior to Reliance, Mehta worked at companies such as Arvind Brands. He has played a big role in expanding Reliance Brand reach in luxury and premium retail. Mehta was at the helm of many partnerships the brand forged with leading global brands.
