Media veteran and DAC’s Chief Patron Vijay Kumar Chopra is no more

During his tenure as Chief Patron at the Delhi Advertising Club (DAC), Chopra played critical role in drafting and implementing new policies

Vijay Kumar Chopra, media veteran and Chief Patron of the Delhi Advertising Club is no more. Chopra passed away in New Delhi after a brief illness.

During his tenure as Chief Patron at the Delhi Advertising Club (DAC), he played a critical role in drafting and implementing new policies at the Club. Over the years have DAC has started hosting advertising awards, seminars and discussion forums at the national level. DAC, which started 40 years ago with a modest count of 25 members now has more than 750 members and had hosted DAC annual awards at the SAARC level.

Chopra has also served three consecutive terms at the Press Council of India. His first stint was from 2010 to 2013 followed by another term from 2013 to 2015. His current term will end this year.  He was also the Chairman of the Indian Newspaper Society (INS) of National Capital Region of Delhi since 2008. 

Chopra was also the sole proprietor of Filmi Duniya which is one of the largest read Hindi Bollywood magazines in India. The publication also publishes a Hindi daily, 'Tara' in Dehradun-Chandigarh-Delhi.
